Placement Test
Placement Test
In addition to the previous high school grade requirements, all applicants must demonstrate acceptable performance in English, mathematics, and computing for admission to K-Tech. Accordingly, all applicants must pass a placement test in each of these areas. Students will be admitted based on their grades in each area, as shown in the following table:
Score/Level
Level | Direct admission | Foundation II | Foundation I | Not accepted into college |
---|---|---|---|---|
Result | 70 or more | 50 to 69 | 30 to 49 | Less than 30 |
At the end of the E1 and E2 Foundation Programs, students take an entrance exam to determine their next level of study. Based on their grades:
IELTS test | TOEFL iBT test | TOEFL Test (CBT) | TOEFL Test (PBT) |
---|---|---|---|
5 | 60 | 173 | 500 |
Applicants with an official, valid English proficiency score equal to or higher than the scores listed in the table below are exempt from the English proficiency placement test. Only original score reports within two years of application submission are accepted. However, these applicants must pass the mathematics and computing placement tests to advance to the E2 level or to their major.
