In addition to the previous high school grade requirements, all applicants must demonstrate acceptable performance in English, mathematics, and computing for admission to ktech. Accordingly, Applicants must pass placement tests in English, Mathematics, and Computing. Students are placed based on their performance in each area, as shown in the following table:

At the end of the F1 and F2 Foundation Programs, students take an entrance exam to determine their next level of study. Based on their grades:

Applicants with an official, valid English proficiency score equal to or higher than the scores listed in the table above are exempt from the English proficiency placement test. Only original score reports within two years of the application submission date are accepted. Exempt applicants must still pass the Mathematics and Computing placement tests to advance to F2 level or their major.
