kuwait technical college Hosts Third Annual High School Carnival, Welcoming Over 20,000 Students from Across Kuwait

In line with its commitment to bridging the gap between secondary and higher education, kuwait technical college (ktech) organized its third Annual High School Carnival, reaffirming its role as a student-first institution dedicated to outreach, engagement, and youth empowerment. The event witnessed the participation of over 130 public and private high schools across Kuwait, with more than 20,000 students from Grades 10, 11, and 12 attending, making it one of the largest and most exciting high school activations in the country.

The carnival took place at KTech’s Abu Halifa campus over two days — February 14th for male students and February 15th for female students. Activities included a wide array of interactive games, competitions, and challenges designed to spark creativity and encourage collaboration. Students earned points by completing missions throughout the event, and the winning school — the one with the highest score — was awarded full sponsorship for its graduation ceremony by ktech.

One of the carnival’s highlights was a raffle draw for a car sponsored by platinum partner "Mawaddah", exclusively for high school students.

Voices from the Leadership

Ms. Noora Ayman Boodai, Vice President for Student Affairs and Registration at KTech, stated:

“We’re proud to host this annual carnival to engage with high school students in a fun, interactive way that builds leadership, teamwork, and communication skills while preparing them for the transition to university life. At KTech, we are committed to providing an inspiring and supportive learning environment, and we thank our sponsors for their continued partnership. This year’s turnout — over 20,000 students — speaks volumes.”

Mr. Abdulrahman Abdulqader Al-Ajeel, Vice President for Finance and Administration, added:

“The main goal of this event is to remove the fear of transition and create a positive, enjoyable space where students feel excited about the next step in their academic journey.”

Ms. Dana Ali, Director of Student Recruitment at KTech, shared:

“Our goal is to introduce high school students to the unique university environment that KTech offers — one that blends fun, learning, and community. We’re thrilled to see thousands of students participate and engage so enthusiastically.”

Ministry of Education Collaboration

Ms. Maryam Al-Enezi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Development and Activities at the Ministry of Education, emphasized the importance of this partnership:

“As part of our community collaboration initiatives, the Ministry of Education is proud to support efforts like KTech’s carnival, which introduces students to a range of higher education institutions and disciplines. For the third consecutive year, KTech has actively engaged with schools, helping guide students toward informed academic and career decisions.”
