Kuwait Technical College and Sabah Al Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity Expand Partnership Through Two Flagship Student Events
As part of a growing collaboration between kuwait technical college ( ktech) and the Sabah Al Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity (SACGC)—a center under the umbrella of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS)—the two institutions recently co-organized two high-impact events on campus, reaffirming their shared mission to nurture innovation and empower the next generation of skilled professionals.
Mr. Mishari Ayman Boodai, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at ktech, emphasized the significance of this continued cooperation:
“Our ongoing partnership with the Sabah Al Ahmad Center strengthens ktech’s strategic relationships across sectors. It aligns with our goal of empowering students by offering them unique learning opportunities and practical training that shape them into future leaders.”
Echoing the sentiment, Mr. Nada Al-Daihani, Director General of SACGC, commented:
“We are committed to sustaining and growing this partnership by fostering an environment that supports innovation and creativity. Through knowledge exchange and joint initiatives, we are building a platform for student growth and impact.”
Event 1: Beat the Hacker – Cybersecurity Challenge
The first event, held on November 28, 2024, in alignment with International Computer Security Day, was a competitive cybersecurity challenge titled "Beat the Hacker". The event brought together 60 students from both ktech and SACGC, giving them a chance to test their skills in ethical hacking and digital system defense.
Participants engaged in a series of practical missions in a gamified setting, offering both a hands-on learning experience and an engaging educational activity. Winners of the top three positions were honored at the conclusion of the event.
Event 2: 2024 Senior Graduation Projects Showcase
The second joint initiative took place on December 26, 2024, featuring the Graduation Projects Showcase for ktech seniors. A total of 29 student projects were presented, with 10 standout projects advancing to the final round, evaluated by a panel of experts from SACGC.
After comprehensive review, the top three winning projects were announced and celebrated.
