kuwait technical college Hosts the 2024 Kuwait National Robotics Competition
Under the patronage of the Arab Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Association and Technosoft Educational and Technological Consultancy, kuwait technical college (ktech) hosted the 2024 Kuwait National Robotics Competition on its campus on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
The event brought together 120 participants, divided into 51 teams representing various age groups — including students from elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as university students from across Kuwait. The competition was judged by a panel of 20 specialized referees, tasked with evaluating the performance of each team.
A Platform for Innovation and Future Skills
The competition aims to raise awareness about the importance of technology and innovation in Kuwait and to encourage youth to explore and develop their talents in advanced technical fields. It serves as a platform to guide young energy toward promising career paths that contribute to the national economy and reinforce Kuwait’s role as a leading regional tech hub.
Participants competed across multiple categories based on age groups, with challenges that promoted teamwork, creativity, and exposure to the latest advancements in technology, artificial intelligence, engineering, and mathematics.
Regional Representation and Recognition
The event concluded with an awards ceremony, honoring the top-performing teams. The first-place team earned qualification to represent Kuwait in the 15th Arab Robotics Championship, which will be held in Jordan.
Statement from ktech Leadership
Ms. Noora Ayman Boodai, Vice President for Student Affairs and Registration at ktech, expressed her pride in hosting the event:
“We are extremely proud to host initiatives like this and celebrate the achievements and efforts of all participating teams. These types of activities bridge the gap between theory and practice and give students a valuable opportunity to build their technical skills. Through this approach, we can nurture future generations — from children under the age of 12 to young adults — with robust technological capabilities, creating a national workforce that’s ready to lead Kuwait into the future and drive sustainable development in all fields."
