Cybersecurity and Data Protection at kuwait technical college

ktech Institute for Private Training Hosts Annual Seminar for the Third Consecutive Year

In celebration of International Computer Security Day, the  ktech Institute for Private Training hosted its third annual cybersecurity seminar on November 30 at kuwait technical college (ktech). The event aimed to raise awareness on the growing importance of computer and data security, and to highlight recent developments and practical expertise in the field of cybersecurity.

The event began with a welcome address from Mr. Mishari Ayman Boodai, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at  ktech, who stated:

“This year’s International Computer Security Day successfully shed light on key developments and real-world practices in cybersecurity. The participation and insights shared by specialists highlighted the growing relevance of this field.”

 

 

Cross-Sector Collaboration and Global Insights

Ms. Nourah Al-Oseimi, Head of the  ktech Institute for Private Training, expressed her pride in the event’s diverse participation:

“We are pleased to welcome companies and professionals from various sectors to help promote cybersecurity awareness and keep pace with global trends and technological advancements. This year’s seminar featured insights from both local and international experts.”

Among the featured speakers was Mr. Issa Haidar, Network Planning and Design Manager at Ooredoo Kuwait, who commented:

“In an increasingly connected world, we recognize the vital role of information security. It was a valuable opportunity to contribute to discussions on cybersecurity here at  ktech and to collaborate on ideas for future resilience.”
