In a First-of-Its-Kind Move, kuwait technical college (ktech) Takes Kuwaiti Football Talent to Europe Through an International Scouting Camp
In a landmark initiative that sets a new national benchmark for sports development, kuwait technical college (ktech) successfully concluded the “Aupa Ya Kuwait” International Scouting Camp, held in Spain from Saturday, 17 January to Friday, 23 January.
The program represents a first-of-its-kind initiative led by a Kuwaiti educational institution, bringing together students from ktech, private universities, and selected high schools within a single international scouting platform in Europe.
Delivered in collaboration with CA Osasuna, the camp created an inclusive national model that opened international exposure to Kuwaiti football talent across different educational stages. The initiative reflects a strategic shift in how educational institutions can actively contribute to the development of national sports talent through structured, professional pathways.
The delegation arrived in Bilbao before transferring to Pamplona, where the week-long program unfolded across a carefully designed schedule combining elite training, competitive match exposure, and cultural immersion. The camp officially commenced with attendance at a Spanish League match between Osasuna and Real Oviedo, offering participants immediate insight into European match-day culture, professionalism, and performance standards.
Throughout the camp, participants followed an intensive professional program that included gym-based physical conditioning, advanced tactical and technical field sessions, and performance-based evaluations conducted under the supervision of Osasuna’s coaching staff. Friendly matches held during the week provided players with the opportunity to apply their training in real-game scenarios.
A key milestone of the program was a visit to El Sadar Stadium, where participants gained first-hand exposure to the operational and organizational ecosystem of a top-tier European football club.
In parallel with the sporting program, the camp incorporated cultural and leisure activities across Pamplona and the Navarra region, supporting personal development, cultural awareness, and team cohesion.
By opening participation to ktech students, private university students, and high school players, the initiative established an inclusive national framework that bridges education, sport, and international opportunity.
The delegation returned to Kuwait on Friday, 23 January, concluding a pioneering journey that reinforces kuwait technical college ktech’s position as a first mover in creating global pathways for Kuwaiti youth.
