Mr. Meshari Ayman Boodai, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of kuwait technical college, Announces the Appointment of Prof. Dr. Ayman Suleiman Al Zayed as President

The Board of Trustees of kuwait technical college (ktech), chaired by Mr. Meshari Ayman Boodai, has announced the appointment of Prof. Dr. Ayman Suleiman Al Zayed as President of the College. The decision reflects a clear institutional vision to enhance the quality of technical education, strengthen governance and advance academic excellence.


Mr. Boodai stated that the appointment demonstrates confidence in national academic leadership capable of guiding the College through its next phase. He emphasized that Prof. Dr. Al Zayed brings distinguished international academic experience and a strong ability to integrate knowledge and practical application in service of technical education in Kuwait. He added that the coming stage will focus on excellence, discipline, and continuous development, reinforcing institutional performance and academic outcomes.


Prof. Dr. Al Zayed holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University at the United States and has over 20 years of academic experience at the College of Engineering and Petroleum at Kuwait University. He has published extensively in internationally refereed journals and is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), one of the world’s leading professional engineering organizations. 


In addition to his academic background, Prof. Dr. Al Zayed has held key leadership roles, including Assistant Vice President for Planning at Kuwait University, where he led institutional development, quality assurance initiatives, and infrastructure projects. He also previously served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of kuwait technical college, providing him with in-depth insight into the College’s mission and strategic direction.
 

The Board affirmed that this appointment marks a strategic step toward strengthening academic accreditation, advancing technical programs, and reinforcing a culture of quality and governance. It represents a transformative milestone in the College’s journey toward a more impactful and market-aligned technical education model.
