kuwait technical college Organizes “Future Majors Forum” to Raise Youth Awareness of Academic Pathways Aligned with Kuwait Vision 2035

kuwait technical college (ktech), under the patronage and presence of His Excellency the Acting Governor of Mubarak Al-Kabeer and Hawalli Governor, Sheikh Sabah Bader Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, is organizing the “Future Majors Forum.”

 

The forum will take place on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at the Kuwait Technical College campus, from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM, featuring a distinguished group of academics, experts, and specialists across various future-focused fields.

 

The organization of the forum reflects ktech’s commitment to empowering youth and enhancing their awareness of future-driven academic disciplines, while connecting their academic choices with labor market needs in alignment with Kuwait Vision 2035, which aims to build a knowledge-based and innovation-driven economy.

 

The forum aims to introduce students, parents, and the wider community to promising sectors, future workforce skills, and the importance of selecting the right academic specialization in line with rapid technological and economic transformations.

 

The program will begin with an opening presentation delivered by Dr. Al Baraa Al Tourah, Assistant Professor of Media Studies at Kuwait Technical College. This will be followed by a keynote presentation titled “From Kuwait Vision 2035 to a Generation Building Tomorrow”, delivered by Dr. Fai Ben Salama, Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity, highlighting key labor market transformations and the academic fields expected to shape the future.

 

The forum will also feature a panel discussion titled “How Do We Empower Our Youth for Future Jobs?”, moderated by Dr. Fai Ben Salama, with the participation of a distinguished group of speakers and experts:

  • Prof. Dr. Mohammed Rabee Al-Enezi – Specialist in Modern Technologies.
  • Eng. Ashwaq Al-Mudhaf – Founder and CEO of Aeero Group.
  • Dr. Ghassan Abdullah Al-Othman – Founder and CEO of Athar Community Company and Advisor at the Regional Network for Health-Promoting Cities – World Health Organization.
  • Ms. Shaimaa Al-Qallaf – Scientific Researcher in Sustainable Environmental Management, Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research.

 

The session will explore future skills, the role of artificial intelligence, sustainability, innovation, and digital transformation in shaping emerging careers, as well as how youth can prepare to adapt to these changes.

 

The forum will also include four specialized workshops covering some of the fastest-growing and most in-demand future sectors:

  • Cybersecurity – Presented by Dr. Maha Abdul Latif Al-Dhubairi, Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity at Kuwait Technical College.
  • Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Jobs – Presented by Dr. Fatima Al-Nassar, Assistant Professor of Information Systems at Kuwait Technical College and AI Specialist.
  • Sustainability and Green Economy – Presented by Dr. Altaf Al-Bahou, Adjunct Assistant Professor at Kuwait Technical College specializing in Sustainability.
  • The Future of Medical Physics in Kuwait – Presented by Dr. Hanan Al-Dosari, Chief Specialist in Nuclear Medicine and Head of the National Program for Chemical and Radiological Emergency Response.

 

The forum will conclude with an open dialogue session, providing students and parents with the opportunity to ask questions and engage with experts, helping them make more informed academic and career decisions based on future labor market requirements.

 

The “Future Majors Forum” is part of kuwait technical college’s ongoing initiatives to strengthen its role as an applied educational institution that responds to future needs and contributes to preparing national talents equipped with the skills and knowledge required to lead transformation across various sectors.
