Partnership Extended Until 2029: ktech and Spanish Club Osasuna Continue Investing in Kuwaiti Talent Development

kuwait technical college (ktech) and Spanish football club Club Atlético Osasuna, one of Spain’s LaLiga clubs, have announced the extension of their strategic partnership for an additional three seasons until June 30, 2029. The extension reflects the success of the collaboration between the two organizations and their shared commitment to opening new international opportunities for Kuwaiti youth and talent through a model that brings together education, sports, professional training, and global experiences.

Under the renewed agreement, ktech will continue to serve as the official and exclusive sponsor of Osasuna in the Middle East for the next three seasons, with an enhanced brand presence on the official first-team kit and training equipment.

Starting next season, the ktech logo will appear on the back of Osasuna’s official match shirts, as well as on the back of training shirts and the front of training shorts.

The partnership extension follows the success achieved since the collaboration began, building on a shared vision that goes beyond traditional sports sponsorship to combine education, athletic development, and real opportunities for Kuwaiti talent to gain exposure to international professional experiences and benefit from the training methodologies followed by the Osasuna Academy.

Since the launch of the partnership, ktech and Osasuna have developed a number of initiatives and programs aimed at supporting youth, promoting global engagement and cultural and sporting exchange, and creating new pathways for Kuwaiti talent to develop their capabilities both locally and internationally.

The collaboration includes educational and sports exchange programs that provide students and coaches with opportunities to gain insight into leading international practices and experiences. It also encompasses the development of youth football programs, technical and training support, and community initiatives that contribute to identifying, empowering, and developing talent across physical, technical, and mental dimensions.

The Aupa Ya Kuwait project has been one of the partnership’s key initiatives, aimed at empowering promising Kuwaiti talent by combining academic education with professional sports training based on the values and methodology of the Osasuna Academy.

The project began in December, when Kuwait hosted three coaches from the Osasuna Academy in Tajonar to oversee the training of 120 players as part of a specialized talent identification and development program.

Following the training and assessment phases, 25 young players were selected to travel to Pamplona, Spain, in January, where they participated in a week-long training experience at Osasuna’s Tajonar Academy. The program included professional training based on the club’s methodology, as well as friendly matches against Osasuna’s youth teams.

Through extending the partnership until 2029, both parties reaffirm their commitment to continuing the Aupa Ya Kuwait project and building on the achievements of its first phase. This will contribute to expanding opportunities for Kuwaiti youth to benefit from international sporting expertise, train in professional environments, and gain first-hand exposure to European football culture.

Luis Sabalza, President of Club Atlético Osasuna, said:

“It is very important for us that ktech continues to work with us, and it is especially rewarding to see that after only one year since the beginning of our partnership, the college has chosen to extend it for another three years. This reflects the value of Osasuna as a partner at the local, national, and international levels. Our collaboration with ktech also allows us to make a real impact on the lives of Kuwaiti youth through education and sport, which is something we are very proud of.”

Meshari Ayman Boodai, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of kuwait technical college (ktech), said:

“The continuation of our partnership with Osasuna reflects the impact this initiative has had on our students and youth in Kuwait. What began as a shared vision has today become a platform for talent development, international experiences, and inspiring young people to pursue their ambitions with confidence.”

He added:

“We are proud to continue investing in opportunities that bring together education, sports, and cultural exchange, while giving our youth the opportunity to learn from and benefit from leading international expertise and best practices. We believe that partnerships such as this contribute to preparing a generation that is better equipped to compete and engage with the world, whether academically, athletically, or professionally.”

Since its launch, the partnership has also provided ktech with a prominent international presence in LaLiga, with the kuwait technical college logo appearing on Osasuna’s official kit during LaLiga competitions.

This presence represents an important milestone in the partnership and reflects ktech’s commitment to building international relationships that go beyond visibility and sponsorship, focusing instead on transforming global partnerships into tangible opportunities and experiences that benefit students and Kuwaiti youth.

kuwait technical college (ktech) is a private higher education institution in Kuwait focused on technical and applied education and preparing students for the demands of local and global labor markets. Through its academic programs, international partnerships, and initiatives in professional and student development, the college provides an integrated educational experience that connects academic knowledge with practical application and future opportunities.

The extension of the partnership with Club Atlético Osasuna until 2029 marks the beginning of a new phase of collaboration between the two organizations, aimed at expanding educational and sports initiatives, developing talent, strengthening cultural and international exchange, and opening new opportunities for Kuwaiti youth to learn, train, and gain experience based on global best practices.

Through this partnership, ktech and Osasuna continue to build a collaboration that extends beyond the football pitch, creating a platform that brings together education, sport, empowerment, and global engagement, while investing in the potential of young people and creating meaningful opportunities for their future.
